The tricorne or tricorn is a style of hat that was popular during the 18th century. At the peak of its popularity, the tricorne was worn as a civilian dress and as part of many military and naval uniforms. Its distinguishing characteristic was a practical one: the turned-up portions of the brim formed gutters that directed rainwater away from the wearer's face, depositing most of it over his shoulders. Before the invention of specialized rain gear, this was a distinct advantage.
This versatile Wool Tricorner Hat is available in Black, Brown, Black with White Trim, and Black with God Braid Trim. It has an inside drawstring hat band for adjustability. The hat comes with (3) Large Brass Nailheads for a full colonial Tricon look or worn down on each side.
One Size and will fit up to 23" crown.

I just received this awesome black wool tricorn hat with gold trim. This is the third time attempting to find a nice tricorn just like this and I scored! My wife and I are already bickering over who is going to wear it first. Thank you so much, it came so quickly I was in disbelief! 🤙

I thought the hat had snaps but it has push through pins that is used to hold paper and they don’t actually fit well. In addition, the metal pins have the holders open on the inside of the hat. I am going to put tape over them to keep them from scratching my grandson. If the y-fastener brakes, this hat has no way to stay in a tricorn position. A little disappointed in this construction. Otherwise the material is good.
