The tricorne, a tricorn or colonial hat, was a popular headwear style during the 18th-century colonial era. Civilians and members of the military and naval forces of the colonial period wore it.

The hat's unique design featured turned-up brim portions that formed gutters that directed rainwater away from the wearer's face and onto their shoulders. This feature provided practical protection from the elements before specialized rain gear was developed.

The Tricorner Hat has four options: Black, Brown, Black with White Trim, and Black with Gold Trim. Please refer to the last image for sizing and pro tips.

This colonial hat is a great addition to any historical reenactment or colonial-themed event.

One size fits up to 23 1/2". It snaps to make a tricorn and un-snaps for easy storage.

What size should I order?

Please, refer to the size chart. The size chart is located as a photo in the listing, and the directions to measure are located on the size chart. We have made the size chart strictly on the costumes we have manufactured.

If you are unsure of your measurements, please measure your favorite NON-STRETCH comparable garment.
