Bob Cratchit is Ebenezer Scrooge's underpaid clerk in the classic story A Christmas Carol. Although a central figure of the tale, his passive character is overshadowed by that of Ebenezer Scrooge. Bob Cratchit is Scrooge's employee with a large family and works in unpleasant conditions without complaint. Scrooge treats him poorly, but he is shown to be very loyal to his boss. He obeys Scrooge's rules and is timid about asking to go home to his family early on Christmas Eve. ... At the end, when Scrooge changes his ways for the better, Bob Cratchit is delighted.

i work for a theatre and we ordered this same exact item last year, so when i needed the coat in a smaller size this year i figured no biggie and just ordered it again. the coat is fine for a stage production i guess, but the absolute drop in quality from last year was a bit upsetting, especially when the price is the same.

I purchased this for my son who sings professionally. During the holidays, some of his gigs require the singers to dress in Victorian garb and carol at public and private functions. I could not be more pleased with the quality of this costume. The jacket is fully lined and beautifully cut. If he needs additional costuming of this nature, we will definitely be return shoppers.

The costume is great. I will not be making my first appearance as Bob Cratchit until this week end but the production crew is very happy with it. If you, or any one wants to see it in action, we will be performing "Scrooge on the Street" in Apalachicola, Fl on November 18 & 19 and, again in Port St Joe, Fl on December 16 & 17. Both towns bureaus of tourism have the details. We will see you there and please note the fantastic costume of Bob Cratchit. We will see you there!!
